Virtual School Games Mark for Little Sutton

Our pupils at Little Sutton Church of England Primary School are known for their sporting skills and they haven’t let a little thing like lockdown stop them keeping active.

They’ve kept so active, in fact, that Little Sutton has been awarded the Virtual School Games Mark for 2019/20!

Little Sutton was awarded the Virtual School Games Mark by Your School Games after our school kept children busy and active at home with a variety of sporting activities.

Our pupils have been having fun recreating their favourite sporting moments and creating mini golf courses, developing their skills like dribbling and football keep-ups, and keeping active with gymnastics, football and basketball.

Class teacher and PE co-ordinator Mr Bowness has even set up a PE You Tube channel with fun activities like a floor is lava challenge inspired by the popular Netflix show, the cash dash challenge and pillow relays.

The focus for the activities has been on challenges the children can easily do at home with equipment they can find around the house. Mr Bowness has also arranged differentiated P.E activities for all age groups, with whole families getting involved and boosting their wellbeing.

Little Sutton picked up the Silver School Games Mark in 2018/9 and we now have the Virtual School Games Mark in 2019/20. Let’s see what we can achieve in 2020/21 Little Sutton!
