Special Educational Needs and Disability
At Little Sutton Primary School, we have a co-ordinated approach to meeting the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities. As a Cheshire based primary school, we follow the Cheshire West and Chester principles of inclusion set out by the local authority and value the support given by LA professionals in order to ensure children make the best possible progress and fulfil their potential.
Our SEND co-ordinator at Little Sutton C of E Primary School is Miss Jane Edwards. You can also access additional support through the local offer site Living Well West Cheshire, the Cheshire West and Chester Independent Advice and Support Service (IASS), and The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Code of Practice: 0-25 Years available on the DfE website. The council launched an 8 week consultation on a draft Special Educational Needs and Disability strategy for 2019-2020. The details and links are on the council website and the local offer site.
