School Meals
At Little Sutton C of E Primary School, we are fortunate to have nutritious, healthy and delicious school meals cooked fresh at school each day by our School Cook.
There is a choice of daily meal options, with pudding and salad bar. If your child is in Key Stage 1, they are entitled to a free hot school meal every day. For Key Stage 2, the cost of school meals is £2.80 per day. Please make payment weekly, on a Monday, via the Weduc online payment system.
If you are in receipt of benefits such as universal credit, income support and other allowances like jobseeker’s or employment and support, then your child may be eligible for free school meals, no matter which year group your child is in. To find out more, you can call the Free School Meal Service on 0300 123 7039, or apply on line here: https://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/residents/education-and-learning/school-meals.aspx
You may prefer to provide your child with a healthy packed lunch. Please avoid sending chocolate, sweets and fizzy drinks. We also ask that you don’t send in any products containing nuts as we have children in school with nut allergies. Water is available in the dining hall and from drinking fountains around school.
Children are also able to bring drinking water into the classroom during the day. This water should be in a clear plastic container with a secure tight-fitting lid and be labelled clearly with your child’s name. Water bottles cannot be taken out into the playground.
