Summer Topic (Term 2): Cave Dwellers.

During Summer Term 2 the Year 3 topic will be 'Cave Dwellers.'                                                             

This exciting topic will enable us to explore many areas of the curriculum including; The Stone Age, Cave Painting Art Projects and a mini topic on some Key Physical Geographical Features around the UK. 

Through our class reads and study of good, quality texts, we will continue to understand and build on our prior knowledge.  Celebrating and displaying our ability to write a variety of good quality pieces that excite our readers.

 

Alongside the other areas of the curriculum there will be many new opportunities for writing, these will include:

  • Writing Non Chronologial reports
  • Letter writing
  • Creating poems
  • Diaries
  • Narrative texts

for a range of purpose and for real audiences.

Team work and respect are important values within Holly Class and we are very excited about the learning opportunities that await us.

2019 - 2020 Term Dates have been amended to reflect the Government's announcement on 7th June of an early May Bank Holiday - check the latest version.

Please check the school calendar regularly for up-dates and information.
School re-opens on Wednesday 4th September, 2019.

A copy of September's 3 Week Menu and Snack Menu has been sent to e-mails and is also available to view in 'Useful Documents'. Snacks, like school meals, must now be paid through SchoolMoney.
