Birchies' Beach Day

Date: 21st May 2018 @ 3:56pm

The end of a challenging week.  These Birchies did us proud with their wonderfully positive attitude towards the SATs.  It's a difficult thing for a 10/11 year old to face but these children took it in their stride and we couldn't be more proud.

With the tests under our belts, it was time to 'relax and unwind - get in a flipflop state of mind'.  It was a traditional British day at the beach with a few differences: firstly, it was actually sunny and secondly, there was no sand as we were on the school field.  We played beachball; badminton; football; we flew kites; flew frisbees; we lazed in the sunshine and we enjoyed ice lollies before cooling down with a water balloon fight.

A fun time was had by all.  We won't remember our SATs in years to come, but we will remember the fun we had on beach day.
